April 13, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Amid new preconditions that may delay the return of South Sudan’s First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar, and formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity, South Sudan’s armed opposition warns that its media secretariat and 10 others, who were arrested in Aweil, must be released without further delay.

According to SPLM/SPLA-IO Chief negotiator and the leader of advanced team, Gen. Taban Deng Gai, the government has detained 31 innocent civilians in Juba and 10 others in Aweil on October 4th, 2016 for supporting the IO.

“As of October 10/4/2016 a total number of 41 are being detained in Juba and Aweil. Their only crime is that they are supporters of SPLM/SPLA-IO” Read part of Gen. Taban’s statement.

According to the former Governor of Unity State, Gen. Taban, the detainees are being tortured in jail yet their families and members of IO advanced team are denied access to visit them.

Taban stresses that this act is politically motivated to delay the coming of SPLM/SPLA-IO leader and to derail the peace agreement.

“The government of South Sudan is proving to the people of South Sudan, the region and the world once again its dinterest in implementation of peace agreement. This negative attitude comes at a time when the Deputy Chairman and Deputy C-in-C of SPLM/SPLA(IO), 1st Lt. Gen. Alfred Lado Gore is already in Juba and the First Vice President is confirmed arriving to Juba on 18/4/2016” Gen. Taban said.

To SPLM/SPLA-IO, this negative attitude of government security and officials is impeding the moral of the parties to work together to restore the fallen country, South Sudan.

“At this time when we should all be working building coalitions for healing and reconciliation to fix this fallen country, government security, police, army and government in Juba and in Northern Bhar el Ghazal are busy crowding their jail cells with people, mostly youth” Taban states.

According to credible sources, the following individuals are arrested in Juba and Aweil.

Arrest made in October 2016 belately reported by spla/a in opposition in mid April 2016?
SPLM/A In Opposition offices in charge of overseeing the security matters, the media and public information offices are either not doing their job with considerable amount of importancy or simply incompetent for not having brought these arrests to the public courts of opinions sooner. Transparency is crucial when it comes to safety of civilian and media personals.

Sometimes I really wonder about what kind of brain that our leaders and those who advised Dr.machar have, when people are dying, almost always come the question of survival. In any kind war,
I also could not believe about what kind of international community would really be trusted on telling our leaders to sacrifice our foor children to the devil in Juba so that they will win the peace prize. Dealing with devils don’t this self-proclaimed prophet of cults have no human consciousness should not deceive anyone in southsudan for his tribal cunning behavior.

Brothers, I think this is it for those who are talking and don’t joint the front line to feel how hot it is. Riek machar has aright to come back home because, he knew how hot it is for him out there.

Please South Sudanese government you have to release those precious souls who suffered in deadly detentions of your custody.Make sure their arrest is a course of human rights and the spirits of many who not Dinka ethnic. I hope the international communities and their allies will urgently intervene to save lives of people. Beings a opposition in English it doesn’t mean criminal but a person who want to express himself or herself basis on her or his opinions. Dinka who are educated should understand this in comparison to other cultures.
