April 11, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– We, the Azande People in our communities regardless of our political and religious affiliation, we would like to make our position clear regarding the creation of the 28 States introduced by H.E President Salvar Kiir Mayardit.

We strongly believe that the challenges our country South Sudan is facing today are: lack of good governance and absence of Law and Order but not the need for more States.

We urge President Kiir to bravely accept responsibility of all mistakes occurred under his leadership and enable the country to move forward.

The people of South Sudan need a leader who can unite them, promote and deliver justice and equality for all regardless of ethnicity and geographical backgrounds.

From economic perspective, we are more concerned about the welfare of the people. As federalism   is one call away from its implementation in South Sudan. In federal system, state has to live within its means. Other states’   population and resources cannot sustain themselves. For that reasons, we believe the 28 states system is not viable.

However, we also respect other peoples’ Will. If other communities within WES wish to have their own Sates, we would be happy for them as long as their land borders are not crossing to the lands of our people the Azande.

We as the Azande of South Sudan, country wide strongly support the statement for the sake of peace to come in our country not 28 states to creates another problem rather than solve it step by step. we have not or are not refusing the 28 states but that will follow later after peace is achieved in the country.South Sudan one nation , one country, and one people long live the people of south sudan.

Dear Samuel and Mangu

I have appreciated your conveying messages, yes of course we need “peace, justices and good governance”. This is a spirits for all of us as South Sudanese, but let’s toward it and show tangible benefits of peace by supporting those who fight for justices, peace and federalism. Otherwise, the land grabbing and squandering of South Sudanese people may continues in hand of current power lovers rather than human lovers. The whole freedom will soon drifted away before our very eyes.

I agree with the author of this article. The creation of more states comes with financial problems, just look at how the “Amadi” and “Maridi” states are struggling financially. Let’s be hopeful that soon the President is gonna revoke these newer states while keeping only the original ten ones.
