Jan 04, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- General Bona Bhang Dhol, a leading member of the Jieng Council of Elders, called on Kiir to impose strict punishments for anyone who speaks against the 28 states.
He said any speech against the tribal 28 states is a hate speech and Kiir’s security agents and police must do all possible to punish and discourage the debate.
According General Bona Bhang Dhol, such people are against any thing good happening for South Sudan and are inciting tribalism and violence by their speeches.
He went on to say “If you have been following statements from those who do not like good things to happen to the people of South Sudan, you may have, if you are not one of them, realized that there is too much negative talking about the creation of more states. Some of these statements are inciting and the authorities must put in place measure to discourage those who makes such statements,”
According to him, the debate on the fragmentation of South Sudan into 28 tribal miniature states became dangerous and lost civil discussions between the proponents and opponents of the unconstitutional miniature states and the talks have become entirely now tribal.
The general is believed to have been referring to non-Dinka politicians who pointed out land grabbing from other tribes to be occupied by Kiir’s Dinka tribe across the country.
He added, “I have observed some of the leaders are talking too much about a certain tribe. They are talking about certain individuals from certain tribe to have engineered the creation of more states. This is a dangerous trend and it must be discouraged and authorities must move in immediately,”
The self-imposed Dinka Council of Elders, who guide most of Salva Kiir’s decisions, admitted at the beginning that they proposed creation of 24 states to President Salva Kiir but denied knowledge of four extra states, an exposure that has hit them hard in the debate so far.
The elder indirect hints more harsh punishment and torture against those who oppose the imposed creation of 28 states or anyone who continue to fuel the debate.
He laments, “I don’t think the authorities are doing enough because I really would like to see them come out a lot more strongly against violence, hate speeches and against tribal speeches which are being made by some irresponsible leaders who need to be disciplined. The private and state-controlled media must display professionalism to ensure violence and hate-free debate reigns about the system of governance South Sudan need.”
Dear readers, we at SSLN call your attentions at what is truly hateful and tribal and what are truly inciting Violence. What is truly the problem in South Sudan are the TRIBAL ACTIONS AND DECREES of Salva Kiir under the bewitching of the Jieng Council of Elders like Dhol.
It is the arrogant display of force by their foot soldiers and cattlemen in Maridi, Mundri and Yambio; it is their violence against fellow Citizens in Wonduruba. It is their ethnic cleansing scheme of changing the ethnical makeups like in Chololand, Kakuwaland and the Madiland in keeping with their agendas of Dinkanizations of South Sudan.
It is the spraying of their cattle and armed keepers all over Muro, Azende and Madiland. It is the Arrest of political opponents the like of Governor Bakosoro. Ultimately it is the genocide of our Nuer people at the nations capital and the criminals behind such are still running loose and unpunished.
These are the true inciters to arms and the very things that drive ethnic divide in our nation.
In terms of Civil discourse on the 28 tribal states, it has never been tabled for dialogue as the blind JCE is stating above, it went straight from the JCE table to kiirs mouth for decree. Even after it was decreed, national and intonations players opposed it but Kiir ignore these appeals and went forward anyways. So what is there left to civilly discuss?
Now they want to take away the only thing we are left with, which is to talk and write against this evil that has befallen our nations?
Fellow, We at SSLN call for resistance of the 28 tribal miniature, unconstitutional states, designs to benefit only the Jiengs at the expenses of the rest of the 63 Ethnic groups but also a lost of ancestral territories for the rest of South Sudan in the quest of JCE to Dinkanize the entire South Sudan.
