Jan 03, 2015(Nyamilepedia) —- We demand the Government of Republic of South Sudan and peace actors to discontinue creation of twenty-eight states and dissolve appointment of governors to prevent an imminent war of 2016. The creation of twenty-eight states is another call for war to massacre more ethnic communities in South Sudan. Government of South Sudan is planning another armed conflict. I predict the act of this conflict will end Juba regime and undemocratic practice in our country.
We can see Kir regime is promoting unconstitutional decisions that set up wars. I believe his regime is at risk of surviving on the creation of twenty-eight states as the new conflict of 2016. Salva Kir has been acting based on wrong decisions from his advisers because his mentors are not working for his government but their interests. If his advisers are working for him and his Juba regime, they would advise him that the creation of twenty-eight states is the establishment of a new war. This new war will motive several communities against Juba government because most of the community land is an annex for the predictable commercial purpose by his regime. The perception of the annexation of land means killing the generation of communities.
As a leader of SPLM-IO2, I strongly oppose the creation of twenty-eight states and will stand with SPLM-IO along other forces against the decision to appoint twenty-eight governors. We will remain supporting ten natural states because it is a public need for our people. Kir is an illegitimate president in the eyes of South Sudanese people, and he should step aside from power because his regime kills most of his voters. The president of Government of the Republic of South Sudan is an autocratic leader. He always likes creation of conflict within his presidential advisers. His decrees of removing his cabinet ministers including the vice president was a call for war in 2013. His decision of training private forces was another war. His state policy planning to kill the Nuer civilians produces the Juba massacre. His decision to resist reform within the SPLM is a call for internal conflict. He should refrain from creating more wars to give people peace.
My advice to Salva Kir and his regime advisers is that they should reverse implementation of twenty-eight states. They should dissolve appointment of state governors if they are really for peace; else the Juba government is likely to face a massive conflict within and outside our country. This time around they will not resist armed rebellion because it will involve all communities. The government of the Republic of South Sudan should focus on the implementation of peace and refrain from creation and preparation of new civil war.
