Dec 24, 2015(Nyamilepedia) —- As the whole world is witnessing and celebrating this festive season, marking the birth of Jesus Christ, South Sudan leaders need to extraordinarily think a little more.

Known is the fact that Dr. Riek, and Pagan and Kiir signed the Compromise Peace Agreement (CPA) on the 17th and 26th August, 2015 respectively. The CPA was imposed by the external actors so as to combat the seemingly nonstop war as the innocent civilians continue to face the consequences it bears. Following that major signing, the security arrangement deal got signed and as a result, the SPLM FD and SPLM IO advance teams arrived in Juba for the implementation of the accord to come to force.

In view of that happening, the peace implementation is one thing and the call for God to guide the process in a mass prayer is another thing.

With observation, we noticeably realize the commencement and the development at the accelerated pace in executing the peace pact within the expeditious schedule. Such a step is acknowledged as significantly fundamental to the process. However, we need not underestimate the guidance from God.

Desirably, Christians from all walks of life, irrespective of their denominations: the Catholics, Protestants and Adventists should indispensably converge at one place for the national peace, reconciliation and unity prayer on the morning of 1st January, 2016. The Muslims and any Hindus in South Sudan should equally assemble and pray at their respective capacities.

This call for national prayer is crucial in the sense that it definitely brings back South Sudanese to God for mercy. This should take place although it will be the first time of its kind to witness in South Sudan post-independence. It is the mercy and grace of God that will lead to a complete and successful peace execution we are all longing for.

It is in that prayer people of the Republic of South Sudan will realize that the coexistence of the sixty-four tribes is permanently paramount and tentatively, the importance of our diversities; which must not be in point of view pondered as callously disadvantage.

The three leaders among others should address the nation during that moment, speak their minds and express their concerns with a view to restoring the hope that the South Sudanese lost due to the nearly two years’ civil war. It is the right time they should discern that leaders come and go as the nation remains. They should squarely acknowledge the need to put back the torn apart sixty-four tribes under the one umbrella of peace and unity leave them to decide on the right leader in the right time and in the right country.

Bring our most troubled citizens back together and leave them in peace.

Ultimately, I wish everyone a Merry Xmas and a Prosperous New Year – 2016.

I propose this for justice, liberty and prosperity.

God bless the Republic of South Sudan
