Dec 11, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The armed opposition of the SPLM-IO reinstated its previous call that President Salva Kiir Mayardit is currently in office illegally, Nyamilepedia has learned.

A Press Statement released to Nyamilepedia by SPLM-IO National Chairperson for Information and Public Relations Mabior Garang de Mabior states that the 90 days required by The Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict In South Sudan (ARCISS) to establish the Transitional Period elapsed.

“The Transitional Period shall commence 90 days after the signing of the Agreement. This effectively means that there is a power vacuum and the Administration of Salva Kiir is ruling without a mandate, as that expired effective of the November 25, 2015,” Mabior Garang de has emphasized.

The Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict In South Sudan (ARCISS) signed on the 17th of August in Addis Ababa and President Salva Kiir signed 10 days later demanded establishment of Transitional Period. Chapter 1. Article 1. Section 1. Subsection 1.2 called for Transitional Period to be exercised in the republic of South Sudan in effort to bring back calm.

A Cessation of Hostilities Agreement between the two warring parties of the SPLM was previously signed but never saw the light of the day, and the GRSS increased its offensive attacks both on ground and by aerial bombardment in Greater Equatoria region. The SPLM-IO blames the government of South Sudan for putting more roadblocks to the peace process.

“The leadership of the SPLM/SPLA would also like to take this opportunity to encourage our partners in peace, to remove all the stumbling blocks being laid by these hardliners. The continued procrastination by the Salva Kiir Administration is currently precipitating more rebellion as has been witnessed in Eastern and Western Equatoria States respectively. It is only through the rapid implementation of the ARCISS that this situation can be arrested and reversed,” reads part of Mabior Garang de Mabior’s statement.

“The SPLM/SPLA (In Opposition) would like to assure its members, the people of South Sudan and the world in general, that despite the continued destruction being carried out by Salva Kiir Administration militias in Unity State and other areas and the constant negative propaganda by hardliners in the Administration; we are still commitment to the ARCISS and the Arusha Agreement. This is demonstrated by the presence of a coordination committee which is already in Juba coordinating the logistics for the arrival of the advanced team of the SPLM (IO).”

Mabior Garang de Mabior believes in ARCIS as the only mechanism to bring about peace in South Sudan, “The ARCISS is the only way to restore peace to our country and for our people to participate in an all-inclusive national dialogue in which the people shall determine their social and political future.”

Captain Mabor,

You are absolutely correct on stating that the Incompetent-power-hungry-greedy, and traitorous Killer NyanKiir is holding on the seat of the presidency illegally, and thus, he is indisputably illegitimate president in South Sudan. Until the government of national unity is formed, there is a power vacuum in South Sudan effective on November 25 2015 period.

It is not enough to slammed a too wild regime, but let the United States govt immediately act and rescue South Sudanese people, from the desperate situation.
