Government Forces Attack Koch and Leer County of Unity State

October 02, 2015 (Nyamilepedia)—This morning at 6:00AM, government troop launched attacks on SPLA -IO bases at Ngapngap, Dhorkuini and Maar Payams in Koch County in Unity State. The battle lasted for 3 hours but at last, rebels loyal forces repulse the goverment forces.

“The same attack took place in Leer county at around 9:00Am where the government forces came out of the town and attacked the our forces in their defensive position at Pulguori,Geer and Pilieny Payams targeting the civil population camping around”. Said Col. Gatjiath SPLA Spokesman.

Gatjiath said their (Government forces) intention was to interrupt the food distribution that had been dropped by humanitarian organization in the area.

According to Col Gatjiath, government “has shown its negative intention toward implementation of peace in the country as they always keep on attacking our positions in various locations in greater Upper Nile”.

“Our forces under command of Brig.Chuol Nyak and commissioner of Leer County Mr. Kuong Kuony Dhol managed to repulse the attackers who are now on run and could be seen heading to Tharjiath Oil fields, after being over powered by the mighty SPLA-IO forces and Gojam”. He said

Colonel Gajiath made his statements this morning in an interview with Nyamilepedia Press team on phone.

The spokesman calls on IGAD plus, AU and International Community to investigate these violations and atrocities committed by Juba regime in order to protect this fragile compromised peace agreement signed on 17 of August 2015 by the Chairman of the armed opposition, Dr.Riek Machar.

In leaked reports, Chief of General staff Lt.Gen. Paul Malong, sector one commander Jok Riak, Lt. Gen. James Gai Yoach, Maj. Gen. Santino Deng, Thayieb Gatluak, Maj. Gen. Matheu Puljang and Maj. Gen. Manyuat seal a new agreement of dispatching 40 war tanks to unity state under the caretaker of the current governor Joseph Guen Monytuil.

The news was leak to Nyamilepedia press team by peace lovers who want peace to prevail in south Sudan.

According to the leaked document, as part of the deal, Salva Kiir government has appointed the militia leader and long-term ally of Khartoum, Lt. Gen. Bapiny Montuil Wejang, as the Deputy Chief of General Staff for Morale Orientation.

Salva Kiir government fall backs on manytuil brothers and allied bul militia, who have been fighting Kiir’s government before and after the independent of South Sudan, following disputes with governor Taban Deng on oil revenues.

gatdarwich, you are really a fake Nuer.itis what is known in the world that GATDET is there in BENTIU and he is rejecting peace his forces are attacking government forces why isit,there is no fighting in Upper nile and Jonglei state. you Nuer keep on fighting and later you realise that you are finish. the so call fighting will not help you completely DINKA is the LARGEST tribe in SUDAN not south sudan even if you fight for 100 years you will finish and DINKA will not finish. I can not agree with NUER who are supporting FAKE RIEK MACHAR who is fighting for his own interest even though itis my tribe iam A NUER by Blood but I hate their behaviours,poor thinking,missmanagement,fighting without aim and Objectives and other more thing
