Secondly, the government reason for pulling out is not logical and any reasonable person would not agree with it. In every government or movement, people come and leave and others remain as an individual choice, but the movement stays because it has a vision, goals, and objectives for the country. The defection of the two Generals should not be the cause for alarm, and it is not the business of Juba government. When General Olony Johnson defected from government, comrade Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon did not pull his peace delegation because of split within the government, even the grand CPA, when it was negotiated, there were so many factions against SPLM/A under the late Dr. John Garang, the Equatoria Defense forces under Dr. Theophillus Ochang, the General Peter Gadet group, the Paulino Matip group, the Toposa group, the Mundari group and you name them, but Bashir as President of the country did not pull out and tell Garang to first sort out with those factions it is because it is not his business and he was serious about returning peace to the country.
What the Juba government is doing is non-starter and the world should take this matter seriously because Kampala and Juba have become obstacle to peace in South Sudan. When the conflict broke out in 2013, more than 70 percent of army defected to the opposition, but no one says Salva has been overthrown. I want to assure the world that comrade Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon is a people’s leader and will never be overthrown by non-nationalists and opportunists who wants to take the country backward. Instead the movement is getting more stronger each an every day because people know what they are fighting for and cannot be deceive by cheap propaganda by visionless individuals. The office appeal to the international community to put more pressure on government of Salva Kiir and Uganda respectively to stick to the compromise agreement. The Juba regime is not only a danger to the national security, but a threat to regional, continental and global security.
Thank you and May God bless South Sudan
