July 30, 3015(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan’s SPLM/SPLA in Opposition has finally received the long awaited African Union Commission of Inquiry report on South Sudan Conflict.

The report was delivered to SPLM/SPLA today, Thursday the 30th of July 2015 at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa by the head of the AU Legal Affairs, Prof. Vincent O. Nmehielle.

The SPLM/SPLA chairman, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, commends the continental body for their bold decision to serve them a copy, however, he urges the AU to publicly release the Report.

“We commend the AU for having taken the decision to serve the copy to us”  Dr. Riek said.

“The SPLM/SPLA reiterates that the report of the African Union Commission of Inquiry on South Sudan Conflict must officially be made public.” Dr. Machar states.

The Chairman promises that the SPLM/SPLA will study the report and make their full observations and recommendations, however, he calls on the union to invite their representatives to their next sitting in mid August.

The opposition strongly believes that the Report will have positive impacts on the ongoing peace process as its addresses the issues of accountability in regard to genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity since December 15th and as well as the constitutional reforms, national reconciliation and healing in the country.

Th AU failed to invite the opposition in their earlier sitting on Friday, July 24th, last week, however, the Opposition remains hopeful that they shall be represented in the next deliberation in two weeks.

when I was reading this report last week, I realized that those who were interviewed b the commission of enquiry did not gives right information. Many statements that appear in this report were not true.
It seems as if this commission members were working alone on this report and some information were just extracted from other sources. This report is not adding anything or reduces levels of traumas experienced by the people of South Sudan. Unless politicians are hold accountable for their many mistakes they have been doing. That is only solution.

The report is flaud, fruadulance and far from a neutral and accurate investigative presentation. Hence, its delayed of its release confirms a much bigger conspiracy against the legal procedures and grossly betrays the victims of the incident of South Sudan’s Juba Dec/15/2013 and beyond. In my opinion its bias with inexcusaable distortions.
