July 5th, 2015(Nyamilepedia) – Rebel forces of the SPLM in Opposition under former South Sudan’s Vice President Dr. Riek Machar have struck the strategic border town of Nimule in Eastern Equatoria in a brief attack described by opposition sources as a “visit”.

The attack has send shockwaves across the region and in the capital Juba as concerns increase about safety of the road leading to Juba.

Reports obtained by Nyamilepedia indicates the South Sudanese town of Nimule has been attacked by rebel fighters belonging to the SPLM-in-Oppositon that is fighting President Salva Kiir’s regime in early hours of the day during the night.

According to information obtained directly from rebel sources, a small team of what they rebel sources described as special operations division entered the border town at night and hit Nimule Airport and army barracks in a gun battle that left three government soldiers dead with dozens of vehicles and equipment destroyed, the force then returned to it’s base in an unknown location without any casualties according to the opposition sources.

This is the third attack to hit the area in and around Nimule town by the rebels forces operating under command Lt. Gen. Martin Kenyi who also doubles as deputy chief of staff for orientation.

The rebel forces attacked the area of Rei and the military Baracks destroying two fuel tankers, five brand new Land Cruisers in addition to two bed trucks.

Nimule is considered a strategic town in South Sudan as all good entering and leaving the country pass through the border port town, it has the only paved road that leads directly to the Capital Juba and is considered a transportation lifeline for the country.

Opposition sources said it was a “surgical attack” to send a message to the regime that the forces where not far away.

No comments has been made by the army in Juba about the latest attack on the border town, however a government army source that cannot be identified told this report that the forces that attacked Nimule was repulsed.

Semei.
Just watch and see. Do you teach liberation war to those who started the liberation wars for the independence of South Sudan? These same Eastern Equatorians fought the Jalabas initially with bows and arrows and that war went to last for 17 years.

These people are fightings smart. See what is happening in the northern parts of the country towns changing hands like hot potatoes the only thing achieve is wasting human resources.

I am not surpassed you do not understand smart liberation war.

Total lie by SPLA-iO!

What happened in Nimule was a shootout by some lazy and disgruntled soldiers who were resisting transfer from the border town to some locations further inland possibly to the front lines up north. The disgruntled soldiers ended up burning custom bonded vehicles parked in the customs yards in the process. These lazy soldiers have gotten used to the ‘slimy’ lifestyle in Nimule where they are used to getting money through shoddy deals bleeding government revenues.

I am not a Kiir fun, but what I can categorically state is this: NIMULE CAN NOT BE CAPTURED BY THE SPLA-iO, the town is very close to the Ugandan border and UPDF will see the capture of Nimule as an attack on it forces in South Sudan! Nimule serves as the main way into South Sudan for the UPDF to move in logistics.

Nimule would perhaps be the very last town in South Sudan to be taken over by the rebels after Juba! Gen. Martin Kenyi’s forces are no where near Nimule! Stock this cheap propaganda, it stinks!

Eastern, you have correctly put it and this is what I was trying to mention, the problem with Riek’s rebels is that, they claim any thing that may happen and connected to shooting and killings to be their rebels, even people who are currently carrying armed Robberies in Juba have been claimed by Riek to be his rebels, shame on so called SPLA-IO. Malakal is falling back to Government in next fews hours, stay tuin.

It should be better if you put your commitment to close down the border road to Nimule where they will survive from there ? thugs .if so it is the easy ways be close. is good for Spla-iom to reinforcement to of Martin Kenyi ,s forces to block Kiir of south Sudan and Yuri of Uganda cut their tails out from their root take it seriously let them completed the things which they have been hided for these season peace will be in touch let this information reach to C-IN-C Dr.Machar to give order to other forces who are in Jonglei to support those of Martin kenyi forces in Nimule for blocking of that connection road soon they will use the fly to bring services from UGANDA to South- Sudan which will be big surprise to other world this will bring peace to South -Sudan

mr wiseman, southerners like to come, live, work, and share everything together,Salva kirr doesn’t want south sudanese to united. You see what happened in south of unity state? He divided bul-nuer to fight for him so that dinka would rest and watch nuer finish themselves. And if there will be any remainders nuer, then dinka can come to finish the job.

I can tell you that no one like to see any body die, whether’s natural caause or any illness for that matter. Only one person thrilling, enjoying southeners perishing for good,(salva kirr).if not so then who you calling south sudan’s president? We thought south sudan had a servant president. Clearlly not the case any more.
