July 5, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Latest reports from South Sudan’s SPLM/A in Opposition in Upper Nile region confirmed that a Ugandan army helicopter gunship was gunned down this morning by the rebels in Collo Kingdom.

According to Brig. Gen. William Ezekiel, the information desk of Agwelek forces, one Ugandan gunship was shot down on Sunday morning in Kodok, Upper Nile state, killing the entire crew.

“One Ugandan army helicopter Gunship has been shot-down today Sunday morning by Agwelek air-defence units stationed in Kodok town, Upper Nile state, Collo Kingdom.” Brig. Gen. William Ezekiel explains.

“The incident occurred when two (2) helicopter gunships identified to belong to Ugandan army, early morning attacked Kodok town in Collo Kingdom. The Gunship was downed at 7:20 am South Sudan local time.” the Brigadier General vividly recalls.

According to the military sources of SPLM/A, the rebel forces fired at the Ugandan gunship after attacking the Chollo kingdom, killing at least 3 civilians and wounding 13 others.

“Initial information on the ground confirmed that three (3) civilians identified as a child, an infant and a woman have been reported dead in the attack, while other thirteen (13) innocent civilians were injured in the same attack by Ugandan gunships.” the spokesman explains.

“The Agwelek forces condemned the cowardly and inhumane attack by the Ugandan army on unarmed innocent civilian population. We call upon the International Community, Peace-loving nations and the IGAD mediation mission to condemn this aggressive attacks and the killing of innocents by the notorious army of Uganda.” Brig.William strongly condemns.

In a related development, the Agwelek forces allege to have captured five (5) government soldiers in Bilthiang (Wij Niger), an area situated on eastern Bank of the White Nile River.

The soldiers, who are identified to hail from Equatoria region, were captured in the latest battles in Bilthian, Anak-Diar and Rom.

The Agwelek informant reports that the war is still on going in these multiple fronts in Upper Nile state.

“Agwelek and SPLM-IO forces are currently engaged on fighting with the enemy at various fronts in Upper Nile, following attacks by the government troops on their positions in areas of Anak-Diar, Rom and Bilthian. Rom, Bilthian and Ank-Diar have been under the control of the Agwelek forces.” he said.

The brigadier general informs the whole world that the “Agwelek forces and its allied SPLM-IO have been in defending themselves and the innocents from government assaults”.

Brig William affirms the commitment of the combined Agwelek and IO fronts to peaceful resolution of the conflict, however, warns the government that the oppressed populations of South Sudan will continue to demand equitable treatment, fair justice, decent human dignity and human rights until a durable peace is restored.

“The Agwelek forces reiterate their commitment and adherence to the ongoing noble efforts by the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) countries, to realize peace, stability and development in South Sudan.” William explains.

“We believe however, that the course of the struggle of the marginalized and the oppressed by the suppressive and oppressive clique regime in Juba and its affiliates in the region will not deter the majority of innocent South Sudanese from their quest for durable peace, fair justice, decent human dignity and human right for all without regard to tribal/ethnic background regional affiliation, or state.” he concludes.

Although Juba and Kampala are yet to respond to the opposition’s report, South Sudan’s Chief of Staff, Gen. Paul Malong Awan, visited Kampala recently to bargain for more military and aerial assistance to fight off rebellion before escalating to the main oil-fields in the state.

South Sudan renews call for external military supports as the merging of the two main rebel groups, the Agwelek and SPLM/SPLA, threatens the strategic oil fields and government garrisons in Greater Upper Nile.

Empty propaganda, Uganda never use Helicopters to back the SPLA, why to use Helicopters while they have fighter jets, there are SPLA MIGS in Juba plus fighter jets ready to go and burn the whole of Malakal to only leave ground flat for new reconstruction program, waiting for order from above since ground forces are been airlifted for serious combat operations to teach Nuer and Shilluk Militias last lession for them to know that war is not good.

Why sanctioned Spla-io Commanders. UNSC should have sanctioned Uganda government or Museveni in particular first.

The picture is for a Uganda Helicopter that felt, I think, in 2012. The environment is totally different. We do not have such places like that Upper Nile. Look at the tress and the topography of the land. It is Uganda not South Sudan, and in particular. So do not try to fool yourself by celebrating. Pride goes first before fall.

Agwelek oyee! congratulations to Chollo freedom fighters, this time Uganda air force must know that Agwelek air defense unit will Ugandan air force a lessen that they will never forget, President Yoweri Museveni has to put in mind that Agwelek are well trained special force and well equipped. President Yoweri Museveni is playing with fire, the Agwelek’s next target after Paloich is Kit Gom and Gulou in Northern Uganda.

You have began bringing those photos of the Kenyan accident to gain political plat foam but the world knows that ugandans are not myopic.I dont see any problem of helping our brothers to gain peace than being egoistic and selfish in character. What do u loose if the region is peaceful so that we engage in economic activities than regarding a hero as a war monger?

This is a cooked up story. actually, the picture here is of the helicopters which crushed in Mount Kenya in 2012. You can check the link from here. The picture has been edited in photoshop. So SPLA/M-IO stop lying to the world.

The information that Uganda Helicopter gunship was shot down by Rebels of SPLM in opposition is a naked lie the whole world witnesses in recent times.

Ugandan Air force is not operating anywhere nearer South Sudan or any where inside the Republic of South Sudan. The photo is of an Aircraft that crashed in Kenya,.

This is the second time such cheap propaganda is used to cultivate ignorance in their fighters and attract publicity on false grounds. Two months ago we read similar propaganda.

I suspect they shot down another gunship or they are shooting down Ghosts.

The media reporting house itself sounds to be biased leaning on the rebel side. How can it say that “Gen. Paul Malong Awan, visited Kampala recently to bargain for more military and aerial assistance to fight off rebellion before escalating to the main oil-fields in the state” do they have prove? or were they part of the meeting in Kampala. Please media houses, try to be balanced in reporting otherwise the authenticity of the report will always be questionable.

Unrealistic information but why does Nyamile publish such trash without forensic and analytic research and check out these sadists who normally derive pleasure from people’s pain shame on you, I would rather advice you to collectively resort to prayers so as God descends his mercy on South Sudan and pacifies it.

that image is from the garisa incident in kenya. this is also an old story. if updf wants to use aerial bombardment, it would use the deadly sukhois not helicopters.
