Jieng Council of Elders leading figure wanted by Juba Court for failing to pay Hotel bills

BLACKLIST: Letter of summon by Gold Hotel lawyers for those accused to appear in Court.

Letter of summon by Gold Hotel lawyers for those accused to appear in Court.July 01, 2015 ( Nyamilepedia ) – Jieng Council of Elders leading member Bona Malwal is back in the public spot light again and not for good reasons this time.

An Ethiopian owned hotel in the capital Juba has accused Bona Malwal and several other senior officials of living in the hotel for longer periods and failing to pay hotels rental and service charges which now amounts to thousands of South Sudanese Pounds and US Dollars.

The hotel management says the elder who is a leading member of the Jieng Council of Elders and also believed to be an advisor to embattled President Kiir has been living in the hotel for an unspecified long period of time without paying the hotel their bills despite repeated calls from the hotel management for officials to pay monies they owe to the hotel, the hotel also accused several other government officials of staying for several years without paying their bills but only giving promises of paying soon as they are paid by the government or when they get a lucrative government contract.

The Glory Hotel manager Seyoum Berhey who is an Ethiopian told journalists he has finally decided to file charges against several senior officials including Bona Malwal for living in the hotel for long periods while failing to pay their monies, saying he will be looking to see the Jieng Council of Elders leading members in Juba courts until all his money is paid.

The manager was heard shouting, “I have had enough, I will see them in court, this elders have to respect business rules” said a disappointed Mr Seyoum.

Government officials in Juba and their relatives are known of living in hotels for longer periods with promises to hoteliers that government would clear the bills, Hotel bills are said to cost the South Sudanese government millions of dollars every year.

This is not the first time Bona Malwal who is a former advisor to Sudanese president Omer Bashir has earned bad media attention,  in 2011 referendum Bona Malwal was accused of calling South Sudanese to vote for unity with Sudan instead of independence while serving as advisor to Omer Bashir, meanwhile earlier this year Bona was accused of stoking tribalism in South Sudan after telling a meeting in the US that dinka tribe should rule South Sudan whether the other 64 tribes liked it or not, he called on the US to back president Kiir’s regime but seems his demands were ignored by the US administration.

The Jieng Council of Elders in which Bona Malwal serves as an executive member is seen as to have played a key role in the country’s current conflict by advising president Salva Kiir to implement a pro-Dinka policy of domination, the body has been accused by a leaked Africa Union Report of planning and involvement in December 2013 massacre of Nuer civilians in Juba after disagreements within the SPLM ruling party.

The hotel has released a blacklist which it says contains names of those individuals who have stayed and not paid.

Bona Malwal has not yet responded to the accusations against him by the Glory Hotel by the time of this report.

There is no surprise here because South Sudanese officials live on government money. Small budget from central government in Khartoum was only for themselves.

That was to be expected that these jienge scoundrels and parasites have been living on other peoples´ expenses unable to get for themselves. Should the South Sudan go federal with accountability and transparency introduced, who knows how they will survive.

Officials in all South Sudan live on government money and they don’t even build the Latrines and Equatorians were the worst, stop damaging all Jiengs and blame them all the time for reason.Kokora itself was about small budget from central government in Khartoum.

Agumut

By the way, the jiengs have been the beneficiaries of Kokora. The pure jieng heartlands are: Lakes, Warrap, Jonglei, Northern Bahr el Ghasal and of course also in Upper Nile, Unity, Western Bahrel Ghasal and yet they have remained backwards, foolish and hungry. What else must you get? Even as the jieng steal and squander all the oil monies, they have just refused to develop. Now, they think by being in Equatoria, they will get a degree of development, food and security. Others have Chosen to remain in the Diaspora as fugitives.

Dinkas are business people, they started from zero and two years later they open the shops and you become jealous because you people don’t want to struggle. It is the same in Diaspora because we started from null and everything change after two to three years, small money make big money, but it is now very difficult because world economy is not doing very well.

To whom are you lying mr agumut? you guys are well known of laziness and idleness. Can you call these young and old jieng parasites, who are just laying on tea places and under trees in juba as business men? please bro teach your people to be self sufficient rather than affirming on them the spirit of parasitism.
