Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora Calls for Immediate End of Conflict in S. Sudan

June 3, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora is astonished and dismayed by the destructive vigor with which conflict has renewed in the young embattled South Sudan. For almost half a centaury the people in South Sudan have known no peace. The liberation wars were fought to free the people of South Sudan from the hands of oppressors, and millions of South Sudanese sacrificed their lives to live in harmonies and a freed nation, but situation has turned upside-down.

The leadership in charge has decided a different destiny to choose between life and death. Peace, war, development or backwardness is sanctioned with ranges distinctively as uttered by the leaders of south Sudan. The warring parties must come to their senses and offer the desperately needed life, peace and development for the young impoverished nation. It is assuredly and blatantly clear that there is no swift military solution to this conflict.

ASSD has come to a sad realization that, the leadership in Juba has lost the abilities to refrain from destructions, and it has to be condemned for launching offensives strategically to target civilians in regions occupied by opposition forces in violations of COH signed in January, 2014. ASSD condemns the loss of civilian lives and calls on warring parties to resolve the countries ills at the negotiation table in order to return calm to the Nation. ASSD also believes the solution to this conflict lies in the hands of the international communities since the warring parties in South Sudan and the region have lost the aptitude to bring this conflict to an end.

ASSD again calls on the international bodies, especially US and partners, as well as those of good wills, to positioning their weights to end this conflict without hesitations. You have helped created this country; you should save it and its innocent people! The signs of human sufferings are clear indications that this war has already inflicted heavy human tolls of historic proportions than any genocidal war to have previously engulfed the region including Rwanda, DRC or Somalia.

In conclusion, ASSD condemns in strongest terms possible the renewed gunfights and destructive loss of lives in the country. ASSD demands negotiated solutions not a military one. USA and Troika countries must take a lead. The international community, including UN body must implement arm embargo, as well as take critical part in the peace process. ASSD supports the call for the Sudan government to be involved directly in the peace negotiation.

There’s no such as Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora (ASSD) – it’s instead an Alliance for Nuer Extremists in Diaspora (ANED). Nuer are the problem in South Sudan. Literature reveals that Nuer society is maintained through constant war with its neighbours and within. Enjoy the suffering you’re currently getting!

John look at history, Rome came down on its own weight. The Soviet Union with all its killing capabilities to include that of Nuclear war and Terrors of communism came down nice and easy! Just wait and see, hopefully you remain alive to witness the Jiengs coming down and easy on their knees! Just if you doubt look at Germany of today Vs that of Hittler and the Natzi, how about Japan?

Dear John,
I am a member of ASSD and I am not a Nuer and even if I was, since when is being a Nuer a crime in South Sudan? Please check our website for further details.Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora is an open Umbrella for ALL South Sudanese in the Diaspora. Indeed the criteria for joining our organization is straight forward, ie. being in the diaspora, both near and far and being a South Sudanese. Simply stated we are a South Sudanese Civil Society in the Diaspora.

This being the case, If Nuer are in the membership, even if all are Nuer, Are the Nuer not South Sudanese? You will agree with me that, although the current government in Juba is Dinka predominant in terms of real powers, it is still a government of South Sudanese or you would rather have us call it Dinka government?

You will come to learn that ASSD is a unique organizations in that we at ASSD are of diverse ethnic backgrounds, while recognizing and acknowledging and not belittling nor demeaning our diversities, we focus on our common heritage, that is South Sudan.

John, indeed if you are in the Diaspora, you are welcome to Join us in the journey of brotherhood. It is easier to destroy than to built, even dogs can Kill. True Patriotism is in uplifting and building each other( meaning South Sudanese) up for our common goods. May God bless South Sudan and All South Sudanese, that includes you.

The Nuers are living in a denial. They attempted a coup and now they are crying foul just like they did in 1991. Try to take power by force from an elected government anywhere in the world and you will vomit blood and South Sudan is not different in this.

The Nuers are aren’t answering one simple question, the Nuers claimed to have been targeted by the president private bodyguards on the 15/12/2013–16/12/2013, in Juba

But went and started their revenge killings in Bor, Akoba, Malakal, Baliet and Unity state.

Why didn’t the Nuers start their revenge killings in Warrap state? The Nuers should open their thick skulls and swallow the bitter pills that the game they are playing isn’t going to fly this time around.

Their Riek Machar, Taban Deng Gai, Angelina Teny, Afred Lado Gore, Peter Gadet and several other Nuer generals are not telling many Nuers living in diaspora the truth—–they did attempted a coup.

My Nuer cousins, no one is going to treat you with kids’ gloves these day, grow up fellows.
