April 24, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The leader of South Sudan’s SPLM for Democratic Change, Dr. Lam Akol, who has served house arrest for months in Juba, was last night apprehended by the Security Forces for reasons that are yet to be disclosed.

Dr. Lam Akol, who spoke to BBC as the security forces storm his house, affirmed that the security forces came in three vehicles and surrounded the house from 9pm.

“Since 9 o’clock in the evening. There are three cars here, some of them [security] are in the cars and others are around the building here” Dr. Lam explains to BBC

Immediately following the interview, the Opposition party leader, Dr. Lam, is believed to have been taken to National Security Service building.

Although the reason for his arrest are yet to be determined, a reliable source revealed to Nyamilepedia that Dr. Lam might be confined to prison until the situation, which involves his tribesmen in Upper Nile, is resolved.

“Lam has dirty politics in what is happening in Malakal, we approached him when the incident occurred but he refused to work with the government delegation” Said a top security officer who identified himself with a christian name due to fluidity of the case.

“He has to be disconnected from all sorts of communication until we find a solution to this scenario” He continued.

Dr. Lam believes that his arrest could relate to his speeches on political affairs in the country, adding that he recently criticizes reckless spending of national revenues on things like Independent Day celebration that do not bear any meaning at this time.

When asked if he has spoken against the government recently, Lam replied: “Yes, definitely, I cannot be keeping quiet when many things are going wrong here.”

“We have been saying public matters; there has been high rocketing prices as a result of inflation taking up. … [instead of spending] 129 million pounds for a celebration, we should have supported the lower income groups rather than spending money on things that are meaningless,  what are we celebrating anyway, there should be enough for the president to deliver his speech on that occasion but there is nothing to celebrate.” Dr. Lam told the BBC.

The DC leader is on records for denying the coup allegations that triggered the conflict in 2013.

Dr. Lam has also been accused of leaning towards Dr. Riek Machar’s platforms such as reforms and calls for democracy.

He is believed to have held closed-doors meeting with Dr. Machar in Addis Ababa before he was later confined to house arrest in Juba.

Dr. Lam is an ethnic Chollo, whose allied forces are currently battling the government troops in Malakal, Upper Nile State.

The top opposition leader, who lost elections against Salva Kiir in 2010 Sudanese elections,  returned to the country shortly before the civil war broke out. Lam spent two years in exile in Khartoum, Sudan, due to political differences with Salva Kiir’s administration.

Dear Readers and Reporters

I advised Dr. Lam not to joint Riek again like failed coup Attempt on Dr Garang.
Dr Lam must to remember what happened in 1997 between him and Riek at their meeting. WHY DID HE WALKED AWAY FROM THAT MEETING AND WENT to KHARTOUM follow by Taban Deng Gai…to walk away..
to make long history short because all these Dr’s. have no common sense objectives and real long term goals for what they believed in. and that was the break up of Riek and Lam rebellion. So Lam please learn from your past.

So my point is that Dr Lam just take easy and be peaceful you have no teeth to bite and be afraid of. Your former friend Riek has broken most of his teeth by his own action and now he Is just a leader with unstable teeth to bite.

I am not a fan of Kiir or Riek or Lam or Taban I am tired of them all.

May God bless my people and South Sudan. Amen
Amen

Abuchok “I am not a fan of Kiir or Riek or Lam or Taban I am tired of them all”. When did come to hated and tired of all these Leaders? was it after the fail assassination attempted against the visionaries Leader Dr. Riek Machar?

Just for information this Dr. Riek Machar Teny that you hated badly will be the next president of the Federal Republic of South Sudan together with general Taban Deng and other like-minds people of FRSS.

Your primary school dropout and primitive leader Kiir and his collaborators have fail our nation as well as the entire region of east Africa because of their greediness and lack of vision for the future. comepering Kiir with Dr. Riek Machar is by itself is an insult to the nation. you can’t say that because kiir fail also Dr. Riek fail as well that is wrong concept although your likes don’t differential between good and bad at all.

Riek Machar will never be come President of SS. He will become president on the dead body of whole Dinka.
Souriyako1314, don’t kidding yourself dude with desperate hope to Riek become president on some point, forget about that from to day.
Majority of Nuer are laughing now because Olony is fighting Government. Let tell some thing, a pure chollo fighters units can not captured Malakal by force and stay permanently when fighting with Dinka Apadang.

Deng II,
Please accepts the fact that Dr. Riek Machar will be the next president of the Federal Republic of South Sudan simply because he have vision for our nation. people like Kiir have nothing to contribute to our nation apart from killing innocents citizens that we will never replaced for long time to come.

it is also mentioned in the holy bible that “where there is no vision, people perished”

This is exactly what we are in since December 2013 when primitive kiir went to South Africa for the funeral of one our visionaries Africa leader late Nelson Mandela and shortly after Kiir arrival back in Juba he order the executions of Nuer members of the presidential guards units and that how war breakout in our Country.

Now Kiir with HIS PARTNER IN CRIME Museveni have no exit strategy or hope for this war. the only HOPE FOR THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF SOUTH SUDAN IS DR. RIEK MACHAR TENY DHURGON. who is a pround Nuer son by tribe and PHD HOLDER COMPARED TO BOTH President Kiir Mayedit/adapted son of Mayedit and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the Adapted son Kaguta.
These two leaders are disaster to both SS and Uganda plus the entire region of east Africa.

So accepts the fact that the only hope now is Dr. Machar who will bring peace and stability to the FRSS, the region, Africa as well as the whole world because when there is stability everybody benefit.

Dr. Lam has the ultimate power in the decision of joining whomever he wishes to join and better yet he doesn’t have to join anyone but come to the rescue of his immediate community with a familiar message beneficial to his community. At the end of the day that is his community and it should not be treated as taking side. They will be the one to receive him in time during joyous time and difficult times as a son amongst many Chilluks sons and daughters. In terms of South Sudan at large Dr. Lam like many nationalists South Sudanese of all different ethnic has amoral interest in correcting the system but has he Dr. Lam been given the opportunity to do so? The answer is NO. Your calls are like mating calls of an impotent female calling to a male lion whose main goal is to populate the kingdom with his off-springs. Keep hoping and calling in vain.

Kiir’s government is being diversionary. There is a looming major economic calamity that is about to befall South Sudan, but the government wants to arrest Dr. Lam Akol as a scapegoat, what a stupid act!

By bringing on board people like Paul Malong Awan, Kiir though he will annihilate SPLA-iO within the shortest time possible; what a fallacy.

Peace is what is needed now; but it must be a genuine peace attained on win-win bases not a shoddy peace imposed on South Sudanese who are not compatible in the first place.

South Sudan is likely to disintegrate when the dinkas cannot leave with the nuers; when the nuers and dinka continue calling other tribes nyam-nyam; when dinka continue calling ono-dinkas dors, when nuers continue calling non-nuers jurs, when Equatorians continue calling dinkas jenge, etc, there will be no peace and no unified country called South Sudan but only small villages within the larger South Sudan, in which we shall continue to remain paranoiacof the others near us.

Dr: Lam Akol must be taken care of ,he is the ringleader of Dinka padang Massacre By so call Chollo Olony , militia, like paramount chief Thon Wei Awin from Akoka Country was killed in his house with all his children by Lam Akol……., Chollo is claiming Dinka land leaving their river side with wild animal , We Padang without other Dinkas ,will dealt properly to shame them by gun barrel ,they must accept their river side otherwise there will be no Chollo in South Sudan. Lam and his tribe will perish, soon. Dinka we are not fearing any rebel , let Olony joint Nuer movement , We liberate South Sudan from Nuer ,Chollo, and their father Arab , we must protect this government from former enemies, no peace with Reik , let him continue burning the country ,we are not going to pay Nuer for destruction shame on them.

If Dr. Lam Akol is apprehended by the regime, then it is going to be unfortunate.

Dear Citizens of South Sudan
To assure you and to remind you all, it wasn’t that unusual to see fragmenting tribes of South Sudan that early 2013, having to fighting each other in bit and pieces, simply because of greedy government in juba and the like impatient armed communities in all areas of the country living by ethnicities. However, President Kiir will not allow peace among the people of SS, we unequivocally know that. If he do, then, Peace of any form could will definitely throw him out through the window via the ICC and will never come back into power or government unlike President Kenyatta who probably killed only one thousand, it is other way round. So my country men, there will be no absolute peace or stability considering the powers and attitude of the government in Juba, so I strongly support to hates that government more even though I don’t support mass rebellion, but extremely condemn no peace within normal citizens.

It will be a mistake and unwise enough if Gen. Olony don’t join Dr Riek and his group in a short run so they can be join by anyone as one opposing regime for Juba, it is really confusing in the way they operate currently. Predictably, so many rebellions will not work to fully eliminate the current unsound government in the country, instead of killing one another’s tribal civilians by common known mistakes. Forming one whole opposition regime will save so many civilian’s lives as far as I know making sure that people should not separate civilians on the tribal line.
A civilian is someone who has no gun in hand and further has no intention to kill anyone during the immediate sieges, so if armed group from any faction including government forces kill women, children, elderly and disabled, what is really wrong in their mind to do so directly after capturing the area?.
In fact, I would prefer one alternative government (rebel group), if that is the only option for South Sudanese’s problems for the anticipating second permanent peace. I encourage initiating and perpetuating rebellion through any angry group not tribe men in South Sudan, and then join the common rebel faction if we don’t like us to live together in one nation forever.

Please just rebelled, it sounds official this way, instead being under bio-surveillance in Juba all year round, it is embarrassing, humiliating and a shameful motive what so ever if your caught relaxing with your wife and kids overnight.
An example is Dr Lam Akol at this moment.
I am a South Sudanese citizen who don’t really care about who rebelled against who but looks for only two faction so we don’t mistakenly kill our own civilians in town all the time, they are too innocence about our move and actions, they are not part of the grievances that will ignite a large scale war.
Additionally, who are the youth that quarrel in the middle anyway? Anyone who is angry at the age of 16 – 18 need to join any faction of armies rather that creating trouble in the civilian camps or in residential areas inhabited by vulnerable groups such as elders, women, children and the disabled.

I am really sorry to write this article, because every time one war ended in town losing many civilian’s lives to other assumed tribal men, then come a fresh one from other different tribes unexpectedly.
I hope God will sooner fully understand and deal with this brutal tribal issues in this nation accordingly to last.
