April 13, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Emeritus, Paride Taban, you do not need any introduction, your works is notwithstanding! You have been an outstanding pillar in as far as changing various communities’ lives is concerned, and in particular Ibonni which hosts a most holy institution (Ibonni Catholic Parish) under the Catholic Diocese of Torit in the County (Lopa). An institution at which you, Bishop Paride, once worked and truly was very instrumental in its development.

You whole-heartedly orchestrated the project leading up to the construction of the St Mary’s Mixed Primary School (Ibonni) in 1999 by bringing the donor (the President of the Association of Friends of Sisters Emmanuelle, Switzerland) in the names of Pierre Gehort & Son Mathew Gehort, and now the school is benefiting many since it was opened in 2000. And continued to be a mouth piece!

You would visit the Parish time and again in the 1990s. No wonder why you advised (prior to your Golden Jubilee in Ibonni) the current Parish Priest, Fr. Lucius Izama that you wanted to celebrate your Golden Jubilee of Priesthood at Ibonni.

Matter-of-factly, and as usual the Christians on the ground and other happily took it (the call) to themselves knowing how important you are to them (and in particular to the whole world) and prepared for the Golden Jubilee. On 8th December 2014, the Jubilee was hugely celebrated and was really mouth-watering! The Christians performed to the last atom of their strength! And (your Golden Jubilee Celebrations here) would continue to enliven our minds for years and years.

However, these words of appreciation wholly go to you Emeritus, Paride Taban for the work (well done) of Ibonni Parish vehicle (land cruiser) now on the road – as promised by you on the day. That you would offer the Parish (Ibonni) a gift like you did in the other parishes where you had celebrated your Golden Jubilee, say Loa and Palotaka Parishes. We as an acting Parish Council (of Ibonni Parish) are very very grateful to you Emeritus for this generous act. We knew you have been with us for better for worse. Now the Parish activities will be upped as compared to before, when it lacked a vehicle, thus one reason behind its slow progress of activities.

Emeritus, we ask God to spray on you more wisdom and strength so that you continue to exemplarily leads your subjects, so that you continue to change the lives of various communities across all divides, so that you continue to leave lessons to be learned among other. We are very aware that this may not be the last gift you presented to the Parish; more may come as long as you are there. We are right behind you. A luta continua!!
