Feb 28, 2015 (Nyamilepedia)—Uganda National Examination Board, UNEB has on Friday 27/02/2015 released Advance Level results. Dhol Samuel Ayuen, a South Sudanese National and a student of Brilliant High School-Kawempe is among the best students who excelled the exams country wide.

He majored Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Subsidiary Mathematics, and General Paper, PCB/SM/GP, one of the most hard combination in science class in the Level.

He has scored 19 out of 20 points, making him to be among the best students in science class in the country and also the best South Sudanese science student.

Dhol is also the best science student in the entire school. He has scored “A” in Biology, “A” in Chemistry and narrowly missed “A” in Physics by 0.1. He therefore has slipped to a “B” in physics plus other two subsidiary points totaling up to 19 points out of 20.

Dhol Samuel Ayuen who was brought up by a humble family started his primary school in one the Camp in Eastern Equatoria States before the war could force him and his parents to cross border to Uganda.

His parents after crossing borders had settled in one of the refugee camp in Northern Uganda where he resumed his studies. In 2008 he sat for Primary Leaving Examination, PLE in which he had maximized the score. He got 4 out of 4 aggregates, making him the best students in entire Northern region.

In 2009, his parents struggled and managed to send him to Kampala, Central Uganda after seeing his potentials. He enrolled in Brilliant High School- Kawempe one of the best schools in the country. In the second academic term of the very year, his astounding performance overwhelmed the school academic board. He then became the first South Sudanese to win a bursary in the school.

He kept up his bursary for four years till 2012 when he sat for Ordinary Level Examination, UCE, where he had lifted the school name to fame and records. He scored 8 out of 8 aggregates making him appeared in every newspapers in the country. He was the best student in Entrepreneurship in which he had scored 100%. This baffled the Examination Board and he was called for an interview.

In 2013, the School had once again offered him another bursary on merit to keep the school name up. He enrolled Advance Level, and the school gave him PCB/SM/GP with an aim of becoming, either, Neurosurgeon, Cardiologist or Petroleum Engineer. Though, he had no idea who will sponsor him next after graduating the Level.

On Friday, 27/02/2015, he got his UACE results; he was jubilating being among the best students in the entire country. However, something still worries him. Having qualified for any of his dream careers in any University in the world he however, have no clue who could come to his rescue given the fact that he is from humble family who cannot afford to pay tuition for such an expensive course.

Could it be true that once one door closes another one opens? Only God knows. Please wish him the best of lucks.

Congratulations Dhol, I wish you all the best and success in your Education journey. However the government in Juba should sponsor such talented young men to encourage them .
instead of wasting the country resources on Ugandan troops to Kill it’s own citizens.

Mr. d bullet King,

Your assumptions are irrational and irresponsible. We are all proud of Dhol; he got there not because he is dinka but because of hard work and perseverance.
People like you are the problem in South Sudan.
