Feb 22, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — In response to the incalculable defection of the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Army/Movement in Opposition military spokesman, it was not received by surprised due to his refutations. Prior to his defection, Brigade General Lul Ruai Koang inherited the rank of colonel before crisis through bribing high ranking officers and influential figures while working with UNOCHA. Before the internal crisis in December 2013, Brig. Gen. Koang was sent to military academy in Ethiopia for further training because he lacks military drills and then opportunistically pledged allegiance to the SPLM/IO in January 2013. After he joined the ranks and files of the SPLM/IO, he begged to be promoted to the rank of Brigade General and Head of Directorate of Military Information, before the National Committees was formed, he voluntarily assumes such a humongous responsibility under office of the Chairman and then confirmed thereafter.

While assigned, the SPLM/IO Military Security Directorate undertook undercover monitoring mechanism which proves gross misconducts on the duties assigned. Henceforth, secretly the classified and sensitive information pertaining to operation and logistic plans were purposely withheld and decoded by military intelligent, therefore, the information he leaked was not reliable. However, Brig. Koang was provided $50,000 to established his office and strengthen is directorates, weirdly, the leadership learnt that Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang was on drinking spree (alcoholism) with friends.

In November 2014, it was confirmed that he had a secret meeting with Military Chief of Staff Paul Malong Awan, after partially conceded ($20,000 pocket money was given); he was instructed to stay with SPLM/IO for information purposes until the package deal is finalized. The connection between the two men came to being through his ex girlfriend Hon. Nyadak Paul, the Deputy Minister of Information and Broadcasting. While waiting for package deal, he prompted Honorable Deputy Minister on personal insecurity in Addis Ababa and then a house request was added to the package deal.

The package deal comprised of a house (7 rooms) in Westlands Nairobi, $250, 000 wired to his hard currency bank account, separate $300,000 for family settlement, salary of full year will be compensated and will also retain the of Brigade General rank. After Brig. Gen. Lul confirmed aforementioned demands, he swiftly called for a press conference declaring his defection and claimed to have formed a faction which will deals with the rights of Greater Lou Nuer.

After acknowledging Brig. Gen Lul Ruai Koang’s foul play, the Greater Lou Nuer Community worldwide revoked, disowned and denounced the existence of the faction and loyalty claimed. In a nutshell, the man was affected by the money and incompetency in the responsibility shouldered. The entire supporters of Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement in Egypt condemned the despicable defection of Brigade General Lul Ruai Koang to Juba-based government. Bear in mind, this bribery schemes not only affected Mr. Koang per se, its also infiltrated the IGAD negotiators hint the peace negotiation process between the two warring factions is not going well.

On behalf of the SPLM/IO in Egypt, we wholeheartedly condemn to the strongest term possible the move made by inexperience, incompetent and immature Lul Ruai Koang.

Let freedom ring from every corner of South Sudan

Any documents of bribes that might prove IGADs negotiation team’s involvement. This would be a great revelation should such evidences surfaced on IGADs meddling.

I think the statement on the above article is false completely, because there was no money giving to him in kind of bribe. He had a problem with some members who are close to rebels leader and he also felt disappointed when the former vice president announced that, he had created 11 New States and plus 10 States which will make total of 21 States however, his former leader Dr. Riek Teny had not name Akobo as a new State, Although the 21 States have been air thus, there is no law that, authorizing 11 new States without Representatives approval and he was told now that, creating new States only can go to PMS and the Justices and the rebels have no authority in any world to created 11 new States or any State that would need counties, Payams and the Bomas.

I don’t real know what language does these writers understand at this website because I had told them to stop bullying former SPLA IO Spokesman Mr. Lul Ruai Koang because he was not the only person to surrender back to government, there are many people have done it before him and by the way, the peace agreement in between rebels leader and its government of South Sudan is due by March 5/2015. I hope if you are under former vice president who turned rebel leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhuorgon probably, you are going to come to Juba last than a month from now but if there are some element generals who may poorly chose to stayed back then, they have the choice to do so however, another chance is going to be very gimmick for sure. Please keep singing about former SPLA IO Spokesman Mr. Lul Ruai Koang but there are many others privates SPLA soldiers from rebels have arrived after Lul Ruai Koang and every day now people are coming and they claims payroll in Juba.
