Jan 26, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Addressing the South Sudanese during the SPLM/SPLA [IO] Public Briefing on Arusha Agreement of SPLM Reunification at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, Dr. Riek Machar, the former vice president and the current chairman of SPLM [in  Opposition], strongly urges the African Union Commission of Inquiry to release its report on South Sudan conflict.

According to Dr. Machar, the regional bloc, IGAD, which mediates South sudan conflict, approached AU to form a commission of Inquiry to investigate the root causes of South Sudan conflict given that the regional bloc was divided and unable to address the root causes of the conflict.

Dr. Machar explains that IGAD countries were convinced in the beginning of the conflict that the root cause of South Sudan civil war was a military coup, masterminded by Dr. Riek and his colleagues, however, majority of IGAD countries came to realized that there was no coup in South Sudan.

Machar reiterate that, although Museveni has moved his troops to South Sudan and hesitates to withdraw them, the Uganda president admitted in front of his colleagues and in present of Salva Kiir in Addis Ababa that “there was no coup but just fighting in South Sudan”.

Machar, however, questions the neutrality of Uganda President in South Sudan’s internal affairs as he insists to keep his troops in the country to prolong the conflict.

The SPLM/SPLA calls on the African Union to release its findings on South Sudan conflict to expedite the Peace Talk Process in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

According to Machar, whether the report is bias or genuine, it has to be made public to expedite the peace process to end the conflict, and to address process of national reconciliation, national healing, institutional reforms, accountability and Justice.

Machar is ready and urges his rival, Salva Kiir, to be ready to face any legal process, should the AU reports on South Sudan conflict demands so, to address accountability and other fundamental issues in the world’s newest yet the most volatile nation.

As, we all learn that, there is time for everything, today, South Sudan need our prayer and action. We have to lean on God to guide the two leaders of South Sudan to compromise and find ways to reunite their people regardless of turmoil that traumatized the whole country. Are we really happy that our people who were in the Refugee camp for the last 21 yrs of war between South and North went back into the refugee camp? Who do not know the hardship of being a refugee? Today, it is our turn to forgives ourselves as the new born baby who do not know how to walk yet. South Sudan did not reach any standard yet in term of development or things that can make that new nation a place for its people. Our struggle would base on how we can develop our new nation, rather than struggling to kill one another. Those who are drying today in South Sudan are the leaders of tomorrow.
My message to all the Religion pastors who are carrying the bible or preaching the word of God daily is that, our role is to continues praying daily until all things come together for good in South Sudan. Let us put our hope on God that 2015 will be a year of peace, forgiveness, love, unity and understanding among the people of South Sudan. Yes, people can fail to come together over issues, but God help them and show them the way to do it. We have seen that our leaders try several times to come together, and sometime holding their hands and smiling to one another, yet when they go back to their parties, or back to their groups, things start changing. However. today, it is our time to pray and ask God to help our leaders to keep their promise on the peace. Jesus came to reconcile us back to his father, the same things to all South Sudanese people, we all need to reconcile to one another. It is time to rescues many children and their mothers who are now drying in the refugees camps in Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya. (1 Cor 12:12-25).
All in all, even if people of South Sudan are fighting among themselves now, it is true that they will still have the same last name, South Sudanese. We share the same father and mother, in which if family fight among themselves, they also sit together and forgives themselves. We are family and let continues praying for the loss of all lives that we loss in this war. For example losing 20,000 Nuer people in Juba, and all our fine soldiers who are now continues drying in this this brothers war.

Dr. Riek Machar, are you really a fool as people believe!
Of all the people calling for the release of the AU Commission of Inquiry’s report, you should not be one of them. First of all, you know that the report is delayed because the world wants to give peace a chance and then justice will follow. Like me, you have already heard that in the report, 36 people are going for ICC: 26 are on the government side and 10 are from the SPLM-IO Side. Do you know whose names are there on the list? You and your in-laws will not be laughing when those names are released. In your mind you think that it is likely going to be Kiir so that you can take the leadership. Well, tell you what, both of you will be playing cards together in a jail cell somewhere as former comrades and liberators asking how did we get here after all that. So, don’t wail for the release of the report, it is coming your way at the right time. This is real my dear. Don’t be in a hurry!
