According to Reverend Mathew, the people who received the ECCSS-Covenant World Relief donated relief items are mainly from Jonglei, Upper Nile and Unity State.

The report confirms that the relief items were distributed to diverse communities that comprised of all tribes of South Sudan, mainly from Nuer, Dinka, Shiluk, Mabaan and Murlee tribe. These ethnic groups constitute the huge population of the Greater Upper Nile region that has been severely affected by ongoing conflict.

Mathew believes that the suffering populations thanks ECCSS and the partners for coming to their rescue with the relief to save their lives at a time that children are malnourished to death in many parts of the country. They are thankful that the relief has  enabled them to reach their final destiny in Ethiopia where they are seeking asylum.

The ECCSS- Administration Office thanks the CWR commission and ECC Congregations for their unwaived supports that saved lives and relieved the sufferings of vulnerable, the poor, powerless and marginalized people who are victimized by the ongoing conflict in South Sudan.

Reverend Mathew believes that the ECCSS Office is asking the CWR and other Humanitarian Organizations in and out side south Sudan to double their efforts and continue their supports to the most needy people of South Sudan who are severely suffering in wets, hots and flooding areas without food, medicines, proper shelters, clothing and other necessities that support lives.

The Evangelical Covenant Church of south Sudan along with other sister churches that included, the ECC, the mother church in USA are praying for peace, reconciliations and the unity of the people of South Sudan. The congregations are very optimistic that the Almighty God will  answer their countless prayers and will bring lasting peace and prosperity for the people of South Sudan.

May God Bless All of us and bless peace makers!
