July 25th, 2014 (Nyamilepedia) – In press released seen today by Nyamilepedia, the Sudan People Liberation Movement in opposition (SPLM-IO) welcomes the new appointment of the UN Special Representative to South Sudan, Ms. Ellen Margret, and also acknowledges the support of the former Special Representative of UN in South Sudan, Ms. Hilde Johnson, for the good work well done during the years that she spent working tirelessly with South Sudanese Community.

In the same document, the National Chairperson of the National Committee of Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Hussein Mar Nyuot , reflects on the ongoing crises in South Sudan.

Mr. Nyuot said the leadership of the SPLM/SPLA’s National Committee for Humanitarian Affairs, through the humanitarian wing known as South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Agency (SSRRA), expresses their sincere gratitude and appreciations for all the support the International Community has  priceless given to the people of South Sudan, particularly those affected by the current conflict.

Nyuot continued that the International Community, which stood with the people and continues to do so throughout the struggles are undoubtedly affected by this heartbreaking tragedy as demonstrated by their unwavering support to the people of South Sudan prior to the current crisis.

Nyuot states that the aim of this press release is to acknowledge and salute many organizations and individuals who contributed in so many ways to address the ongoing crisis.

Nyuot has as well mentions that the Humanitarian Affairs and SSRRA owe much appreciation to donors, governments, IGAD, UN agencies, International and National organizations for extending support to communities residing in the opposition strongholds, the IDPs and as well as those who fled to the neighboring Countries.
