Petition: For Immediate Release 15/07/2014.

Mr. President OBAMA, it is you who said, “I do not see the countries and peoples of Africa as a world apart” The South Sudanese communities and the entire Nuer Community in particular World-Wide including Canada, the U.S, Australia, Europe, Asia and the entire Africa continent are calling upon President Obama to reconsider the invitation of President Kirr and his government to the summit altogether to reserve the future of our nations

July 15, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — The South Sudanese communities and the Nuer community in particular world-wide are dismay and filed with the grievances tear of horror. This come after the South Sudanese and Nuer community learned that the disgrace President Salva Kirr Mayardit of South Sudan, who ordered the massacred of the Nuer ethnic groups in December 15, 2013 is on the quest lists of the President Obama. On January 2014, President Obama have invited African leaders in what he terms “Building a Strategy Together with Africa” according to Brooking Institute Press.

While we are aware that the summit might have it fruitful sound and might led to a positive outcome for the United States of America and the Africa continent, at the same time, it is also hurtful to human society to see murderous such as President Kirr who destroyed not only the lives of the Nuer people but also the every country that U.S helped to be born. It is hurtful to see President Kirr set foot in “the land of free” the United State of America. It is hurtful to see someone who enjoying living in the luxury in his own capital city while his own citizens are dying at the United Nation Camps in the same capital city.

Mr. President, President Obama

It’s shameful, however, it is not too late to help the  people of South Sudan; tens of thousands of South Sudanese are now living in the camps and tens of thousands more already dead. Also 1.5 million people are already displaced and 4 millions more are in need of food and helps and countless innocents children are dying each day. In the recent months, countless headlines around the world can be seen as they are filed with the headlines like this “South Sudan – BBC says dozens killed in attack on Bor UN refugee camp” and “DEC 15 2013: THE NUER MASSACRED”, South Sudan -30 dead after Bor youths attack UNMISS camp for IDPs”, “Fearing New Fighting, South Sudanese Pour into UN Camps” and “UN base in South Sudan attacked by ‘peaceful’ mob, dozens dead” Mr. President Obama, Human family should protect one another against murderous.

Mr. President Obama

According to the UN’s report that was report by Aljazeera, it says that now the “Rainy season worsens South Sudan crisis, At one UN site alone, approximately four children below the age of five are dying each day 90% of those are the Nuer children.

Therefore, Pm. President, the South Sudanese communities and the Nuer communities who are the victim of this war would like to remind you that it is you who said “I do not see the countries and peoples of Africa as a world apart; I see Africa as a fundamental part of our interconnected world – partners with America on behalf of the future we want for all of our children. That partnership must be grounded in mutual responsibility and mutual respect.” And many more Mr. President

Mr. President Obama

When you said, “Partners” with America and that “partnership must be grounded in mutual responsibility and mutual respect”? Well, Mr. President, the children of South Sudanese are dying at the United Nations camps known as UNIMISS Camps across South Sudan today. Mr. President Obama, President Kirr declared unwanted war on South Sudanese children by fabricated unfounded coup D’état on December 15, 2013. The claimed that was not only rejected in South Sudan also was rejected by the whole world including the United Sate of America. At the very beginning, President Kirr fooled the world and invited Uganda People Defense Force (UPDF) to protect him and to murder the Nuer people and used unwanted chemical weapons known as cluster bomb that was banned altogether. Here for that report, http://www.hrw.org/news/2014/02/14/south-sudan-investigate-new-cluster-bomb-use

Mr. President Obama,

It is widely reported on the media including the UN, Human Right Watch that the UPDF and the SPLA have indeed used the banned Cluster Bombs. Yet, Mr. President Obama, you still invited the very individuals who used this dangerous weapon to the free world nation, the United State of America? Mr. President Obama, Ugandan Chief of Defense Forces General Edward Katumba Wamala admitted that “Uganda is a signatory to the Convention on Cluster Munitions, Uganda had banned the use of cluster munitions by its army, the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF)” and yet used it on the children of South Sudanese who were on the road to protect themselves and their families.

Mr. President Obama,

Since when does the United State of America lost it values as the free world nation and cannot tolerate dealing with the murderous? A U.N. Mission in South Sudan report says evidence has been found of the use of cluster munitions in Bor, which is under UPDF and South Sudan government forces control.”The United Nations Mine Action Service found physical evidence of the use of cluster munitions in the Malek area, approximately 16 kilometres south of Bor,” the May 8 report says.

Cluster munitions, which can be fired in various ways, explode in the air, with each cluster releasing about 150 bomblets over a wide area. It is banned by the Convention on Cluster Munitions because of its potential to cause indiscriminate damage over a wide area and leave many unexploded bomblets on the ground.

Mr. President Obama

When you said “I do not see the countries and peoples of Africa as a world apart;” and “partners with America on behalf of the future we want for all of our children” this should include the Nuer ethnic group’s children too Mr. President, the children who are dying now at the UNIMISS camps inside South Sudan today as we are writing this letter.

Mr. President Obama

If what you says here contains it substances and has it meaning for the next generations including the people of South Sudan. Then, we urge you to reconsider the invitation of the government of South Sudan altogether and removed them from attending the summit. This will send a very clear message to those who choose killings over peace.

Mr. President Obama

Key attributes of good governance that you are calling upon included the following

According to former Human Right Commission, the concept of good governance has been clarified in its resolution 2000/64; the Commission identified the key attributes of good governance as the followings:

  • transparency
  • responsibility
  • accountability
  • participation
  • responsiveness (to the needs of the people)

With it understanding, the themes of the summit seems to suggest that it will be focusing on good governance and so forth. However, it is so sad Mr. President Obama to even imagine seeing President Salva Kirr who murdered thousands of Nuer children sitting on such a discussion. What else Mr. President Obama? Salva Kirr is also destroying the very country U.S helped to its independent.

When it comes to the rule of law, human rights, good governance initiatives reform, institutions and legislation to regulate which assist institutions ranging from penal systems to courts, none can be found in South Sudan. Mr. President Obama, good governance initiatives may include advocacy for legal reform, public awareness-raising on the national and international legal framework and capacity-building or reform of institutions. Therefore, to strengthening democratic institutions, improving service delivery, the rule of law and combating corruption. None of these Mr. President Obama have never set foot in South Sudan government nor have had been consider by President Kirr’s regime in Juba.

Therefore, Mr. President Obama, we, the South Sudanese community and the Nuer Community in particular who are a victims of President Kirr’s war World-Wide in including Canada, the U.S, Australia, Europe, Asia and the entire Africa continent calls upon you, Mr. President Obama to reconsider the invitation of President Kirr and his regime to United State of America.

We remind you Mr. President that we have a petition here that support our calls: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/reconsider-invitation-president-kirr-south-south-south-entire-community-calls-upon-president-obama/ZcwDrWw6
